Defragmagneto Strikes Again

Posted on April 26, 2004

Well, the sophomore effort of defragmagneto was not nearly as fruitful as the first. We did manage to produce some strange, _strange_ music though:

Uhhhhhhhhhhhh

I haven’t been posting much to my web site lately. Seems like I’m accidentally keeping a 10-day update cycle. Basically, busy at work and busy doing crazy band stuff.

I’ve been going to a fair of amount of shows recently. I went to my second Opposite Day show in San Marcos with Cap’n Weirdo. I’m the biggest uber music snob in the world, and I really like Opposite Day, _a lot_. Plus, since OD haven’t been jaded by fame and a cadre of women with casual ideas about morals, they’re very cool guys with whom to talk shop about music. I talked to their drummer about Richie Hayward, Herlin Riley, Alex Acuna, and Dave Weckl for about twenty minutes after the show. Their bassist is ubercool as well. He’s a cross between Bill Dickens, Victor Wooten, Oteil Burbridge, and Jaco Pastorius.

Gravity Test had a gig at ACC-Riverside today. It was fairly cool playing with the Lil Blokes. I put a gallery of pics up at http://www.gravitytest.com/gallery/. After the show, the sound engineer for Tribal Nation came up and was curious/complimentary about the sounds I was making with my drums. I then told her of the sorcery and magic behind my drum kit.
