New Pics
There’s some new Gravity Test pictures here:
OpenSSH 3.8p1
The new SSH is here, the new SSH is here! You can download you some nice rpms here:
Upgrading Cygwin to AIX
BSE came up with a great hint on _upgrading_ cygwin to AIX. Just do this:
ln -fs /cygdrive/c/bin/bash ksh
If you laugh at this you are a geek.
Housesitting
I put this article up on my site the other day:
It’s supposed to be funny, but it’s down right strange.
Speeding-up Acrobat
Acrobat Reader Speed-up is a little mini app that unloads a bunch of cruft from Adobe’s famous viewer. Apparently, since 4.0, Adobe has opted to load scores of cruft for DRM and other nonsense into their software. This mini-binary remedies the situation quite nicely.
Bitlbee 0.84
I managed to put the Bitlbee 0.84 in my RPM archive on uberh4×0r last night. You can enjoy the 1337ness of using AIM, Y!, ICQ, MSN, and Jabber all from the comfort of your favorite irc client (e.g. irssi) by installing this simple rpm:
Oldversion.com
I was wandering aloof about the intarweb tonight looking for the last 2.x release of Winamp. I stumbled across this site called oldversion.com that managed to archive every old version of WinAmp out there as well as a lot of other programs like Windows Media Player (WIMP) and Quicktime (teh suck). So, now I can run WinAmp 2.x without a cadre of AOLification. I think next weekend, BJ and I are going to hit a pub and come back and attempt to install WinAmp 0.20 on Windows 2003.
Lunix
I managed to get 3 nodes back up on my openmosix cluster at involution headquarters last night. This cluster will be hosting involution.com starting next week when I get my shiny static IPs (all 5 of them).
Moving…
Involution.com is moving again! For the first time ever, this site will be hosted out of my apartment here in good ole Austin, Texas. YEEEEEEEEEHAW! I’m planning a fairly large update to the site, I’ve already started the effort of porting this site over to a different engine. With any luck, the entire site will go live sometime in April or May.
