Bitlbee is an awesome program that allows you to connect to Yahoo, MSN, Jabber, MSN, and ICQ from IRC. It’s basically an ircd that you run on your localhost and connect to as a bridge to all of your IMs. It’s very cool to respond to gramps on AIM through Bitlbee. It took a little bit of work to get it to work with xinetd, however, it’s well worth it to use irssi for all instant messaging.
