Jack Crenshaw

I was just reading some Jack Crenshaw columns from embedded.com. His articles cover very interesting programming concepts, operational calculus, and various musings about personal computers. He has a book called, “Math Toolkit for Real-time Programming” that I just ordered from Amazon.

Although I’ve done very little Real-time programming, I’ve always liked to do weird mathematical tricks and calculations with computers. Back as a wee nipper, I had all kinds of strange BASICA/QBASIC programs to calculate various mathematical things on my Grandpaps old 386. I think I may even have a yellow 3.5″ disk somewhere with those old programs on it. I even had a Pascal program to draw the Mandelbrot set in color.
