Ad-Aware 5.7 was just released. Along with a 3/26 reflist (included). This program is nearly a necessity if you own a windows box.

    Lavasoft just released a March 10 reflist.sig for Ad-aware. For those of you who don’t know, Ad-aware is a program that scans your registry, memory, and hard drives for known adware / spyware. It’s a super piece of software for the extremely low price of free.

    I created a customized rml preemptive 2.4.19-pre2 kernel tonight to allow h323 support (netfilter newnat 0.7). h323 seems to work. This patch will bring a vanilla 2.4.18 kernel up to 2.4.19-pre2 with rml preemptive patch, and h323 conntrack support.

    Slashdot Ads, Trillian Fixed

    Trillian has fixed their software to work with AIM again.

    Slashdot is going to use large ads like the cnet sites, and now offers a subscription service for ad-free access. I have been visiting /. for about 4 years now, and I’m sad to see them have to sell their integrity to the highest bidder to stay online.
