This is a really cool site. Soft Panorama has lots of background information on Unix, Perl, and Open Source-type stufff.

I found a couple of programs last week that are infinitely useful. Well, one is useful, and the other is a distraction. POW!, a free pop-up windows killer from AnalogX is really effective at killing the stupid X10 ads. Also, SereneScreen’s aquarium screen saver is just about the most beautiful screensaver that I have ever seen.

I uploaded an updated set of firewall rules. This fixes some problems if your firewall is running a dhcp server under Redhat 7.1.

I’m seeing massive Code Red 2 traffic on my cable modem. Ever since around 9:00 AM this morning, I’ve been getting hammered with traffic. If you have an IIS server, you should really patch and reboot your machine, NOW!
